They’re just as annoying as in all the other books. I’ll give it a go and maybe the annoying main character won’t be so bad this time. Ill read a summary of a new one and think, hey, that might be pretty good. I’m always DNF with her books cause I get so frustrated. So damn annoying and over the top all the time.

I wish I could reach through the pages and just slap or strangle the annoying main character. Conversations going in circles, not really getting anywhere in the actual storyline because of the excessive banter and constant teasing and sarcasm that’s written is frustrating as hell.

Trying to read about the characters having a serious heart-to-heart moment, or an action-packed life-or-death scene only for it to be ruined with a bunch of dumb sarcastic comments is just freaking obnoxious. But it needs to be done well and interspersed with serious moments. The banter, quips, and general annoying-ness are nonstop.

There’s always a way too obnoxious one and they’re so over-the-top silly, sarcastic and annoying that they just take away from the story and completely ruin it. Alice Winters’ characters drive me up a f*cking wall.
